Gentle, hands-on care for babies

If your baby favors one side, has a flat spot, or is working through feeding challenges or an oral tie release, an assessment can help you understand what's going on and what to do next.

Common reasons parents come in

  • Torticollis or head-turning preference

  • Flat spots on the head (plagiocephaly)

  • Feeding difficulty or concerns

  • Support before and after oral tie release

  • Tummy time and milestone concern

  • Reflux, Constipation & other digestive concerns

What to expect at your baby's first visit
  • Talk: We go over your baby's history, feeding, and your concerns.

  • Assess: I check movement, joint range of motion, and muscle tone, as well as doing a gentle intra-oral exam to look at tongue mobility, oral tension, and signs of possible oral ties, and I assess the biomechanics and function of the muscles involved in feeding.

  • Treat and give home plan:

  • Gentle bodywork, stretches, and exercises matched to your baby's findings, always with light pressure and no twisting or cracking.

  • You leave with exercises and positioning ideas you can do at home, plus a clear recommendation for next steps.

Success Stories

" Glad to be working with Dr. Jess - I highly recommend Forme Chiro & Wellness!

Dr. Jess has been helping me feel the most comfortable and confident in pregnancy, labor prep, and pp recovery for the last 6 months, and continuing. And as soon as we felt ready post birth, Dr. Jess was a top stop for our daughter, to assess her body mechanics and oral function - she is gentle, yet effective with both myself and daughter (also very patient when baby can get a bit fussy). "

" SO thankful to have found Dr. Brubaker.

After delivery - she came to my house to adjust myself and my newborn! Could not be more thankful for an adjustment after labor and her adjustment of my newbornhelped so much for breastfeeding.
Highly recommend!!! Such a unique approach to chiropractic care and I don’t think I could ever go back to not having this! "

" felt so lucky that we were able to be referred to Dr. Jessica for my son who just turned a year. He was very late to crawl and showing some discomfort. I had two friends who swore that she could get him moving by his birthday and she did! She was so thorough in her approach to Identifying his discomfort, recommended exercises and her follow ups post session. We went weekly and we worked hard and he was confident and crawling the week he turned one. So thankful to have found Forme and Dr. Jessica! "

Support before & after tongue tie release

A release changes the anatomy, but it doesn't automatically change how your baby uses their mouth. Many babies have built up patterns of tension in the tongue, jaw, neck, and face, and they need help learning to use their new range. That's where this work comes in.

Before the release
I assess how your baby's mouth and surrounding muscles are working and use gentle bodywork to ease tension that can affect feeding. You'll go into the release with a clear picture of what's going on and the right questions for your provider.

After the release
Gentle bodywork, stretches, and exercises help keep tissues moving comfortably and help your baby learn to use their new mobility. I follow your release provider's aftercare instructions first, and my work fits around them.

Suck training exercises
These are short, feeding-friendly exercises that support coordination of the tongue, lips, and jaw. You'll learn them in the visit and take a simple routine home.

I will coordinate care with your pediatric dentist, lactation consultant, OT/PT if you are also working with other providers during this time.

Concierge home visits for the first six weeks

The first weeks after birth are a lot. For my current patients, I offer in-home visits for mom and baby during the first six weeks postpartum, so you can get care without loading up the car seat. Mom and baby can be seen together, so recovery and feeding support can happen in the same visit.

Home visits are available to current patients only.

FAQ

Is it safe for my baby?

Pediatric chiropractic care is exceptionally safe and gentle. We focus on movement, positioning, and overall comfort, ensuring your baby feels supported without any forceful adjustments.

Do you diagnose tongue ties?

I assess how the mouth moves and functions and look for signs of ties. Diagnosis and release are done by a release provider, and I'll refer you if needed.

When should we start care relative to the release?

Ideally, we start before the release to ease tension patterns and begin improving feeding function. After the release, I recommend a visit within 48-72 hours to focus on suck training, oral function, healing support, and home exercises, always alongside your release provider's aftercare instructions.

Do you take insurance?

We are an out-of-network provider and can provide superbills for submission to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
